Tairāwhiti Forestry Cadets

We offer a range of forest qualifications across the industry sectors from entry level 2 foundation skills, level 3 forestry harvesting and forestry operations certificates to the diploma in forest management level 6 with a high percentage of learning taking place in the industry.

All programmes have a strong focus on health and safety, hazard management, emergency and communication skills and iwi and cultural environmental interests with individual programmes providing specific skills and knowledge in harvesting, machine operating, planting, pruning, thin to waste, mensuration or high level management.

Applicants need to be prepared to be drug free and maintain a high level of fitness. Transport is provided.

NCEA Level 2 with Primary Industries (Forestry) Vocational Pathways - Level 2
New Zealand Certificate in Forest Industry Foundation Skills - Level 2

FOREST HARVESTING OPERATIONS
New Zealand Certificate in Foresty Harvesting Operations with Strands - Level 3

FORESTRY OPERATIONS
New Zealand Certificate in Forest Operations with Mensuration, Pruning and Production Thinning Strands - Level 3

FOREST MANAGEMENT
Whakatiputanga Ngahere Diploma in Forest Management - Level 6
